Round the Harbours

Identity design for the MS Society’s new and unique cycling event, raising money for life-changing MS research.

Fundraising is essential to the MS Society, the leading charity for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), providing support, information and research to people impacted by the condition. In 2022 the MS society worked with the community to establish a new cycling event called Round the Harbours, a family friendly, circular route, where participants can enjoy the rides at their own pace, take in the views and most importantly, cycle to stop MS.

To launch the event, a playful, family orientated identity was needed to bring it to life and to start promotion within the community. The design needed to clearly link to the MS brand, whilst portraying this unique, all-ages cycling event.

The design borrows from the MS Society’s typography and brand colours, moving the secondary colour palette to the forefront. The layout and use of colour references the coastal setting and the route along the ‘Harbour’, whilst subtle movement in the typography provides a sense of fun.
